Although I am a fourth generation New Zealander, I have a very strong empathy with England and Scotland and I love to visit as often as I can. The stark contrasts of this country always astound me. From ultra-modern skyscrapers living next door to centuries old churches, to the wide-open spaces that belie the huge population of such a small country. My favourite haunts however are small villages and the village inn. England makes the best beer in the world and there is nothing more pleasureable that sitting in the beer garden of a 600 year old pub, watching village life and supping a pint of Hook Norton!
