His ability to both photograph and write about many subjects is particularly suited to travel

Ian’s books for the Lord of the Rings has now of course passed into New Zealand literary folk
lore but this only speaks partially to the unique individual that is Ian Brodie. With many books
under his belt, Ian is always a familiar and very respected sight around the film sets of New
Zealand where he has an uncanny ability to warm up the coolest crusty old Gaffers heart,
get the most seasoned of Grips talking and most importantly, making friends with the crew
by telling their unique stories with humour, honesty and good taste.
