The West Somerset Railway

In 2015 I was very fortunate to be able to have a footplate ride on the West Somerset Railway between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead. As a true train buff, this was a dream come true. An unforgettable experience. The gallery below is just some of my images of that amazing journey. Look at one of the middle images in the gallery, yes – the bacon cooked on a shovel over the coals was absolutely superb. That was breakfast before we departed.

As I update my website I will be adding more images to this gallery, showcasing the very picturesque stations the train calls at en route.

When in Somerset you just have to ride the WSR.
